A dome is the best shape for a passive house.

Four spherical tents await you at Vegan House.

The semicircular structure is extremely resistant to difficult weather conditions. Because the roof is seemingly integrated with the walls, it creates one plain surface with little for winds and hurricanes to grip to and break. Our tents have already passed the weather test, they resisted winds of 150 km/h. In winter, snow does not pile up high on the roof and will not burden it. Rainwater flows easily, too.

The natural, round shape influences the well-being of the guests. Probably because primitive cultures, which lived in harmony with nature and its laws, used these simple and perfect ideas. Most of the huts, yurts and tents had an oval shape, often spherical in their cubature.

Dome structures are characterized by high thermal insulation properties. Research suggests savings in the order of 50-70% in thermal energy, compared to the usual angular buildings. The dome shape allows heat to flow without accumulating in the corners. For these reasons, the costs of air conditioning can be significantly reduced. The dome is an incredibly ultra-energy-efficient structure.
